This April’s Board of Education election for District 3 is crucial, with four of the seven seats up for grabs. The elected members will make significant decisions, including evaluating administrators, implementing the district’s strategic plan, negotiating the next FRGEA contract, and allocating funds for facilities, staff, and curriculum.
We, a slate of four candidates, humbly ask for your vote. Whether you know us as community members, board members (for the three incumbents), or parents of District 3 students, we share common values and goals that drive our collective candidacy.
While we may not always agree on every issue, we are committed to approaching each decision as strong, independent thinkers. Our shared tenets are crucial for the long-term success of the district.
Student Success
We believe in a data-driven, research-based approach to our curricula and instructional methodology is critical. Support for STEM programs, SEL, special needs students, and high performing student programs are all part of that picture. We plan to provide the necessary tools to staff as they represent the most important touchpoint for our kids to be successful.
Strategic Plan
The current board is working with administration and stakeholders to finalize a strategic plan for the district. As candidates we are committed to completing that plan and using it to set expectations for our administrators moving forward. Our community deserves clear district goals in order to measure our administration and hold them accountable.
District Morale
As potential board members, we believe that having a talented, secure, and enthusiastic staff is paramount. We want to hold our staff to a high standard, but we fully understand that in order to maintain those high standards we need to make sure our staff feels invested in the district as a long-term destination and proud to be a part of this district.
